BE SAFER

The Tactical Series hard armor from Line of Fire, Inc. was developed from scratch to do just one thing—better protect both tactical officers and military personnel from the threats that dominate today’s environments. We have created a non-fragile, multi-hit armor that out performs in real-world situations, the same situations that you face every day.

Designed for a safer energy distribution, Line of Fire, Inc. Tactical Series armor gets stronger the more it is struck—this continual protection allows you to finish the mission, do the job and fight another day.

The Tactical Series hard armor from Line of Fire, Inc. sets a new standard in performance against machine-gun bursts and high caliber rifle rounds (laboratory data available on the 252-grain, 8.6 x 70mm .338 Lapua Mag SWISS P Ball). In field tests, our Tactical Series standalone armor has stopped the following rounds at a minimal distance without fragmentation or spalling:

• 165-grain, 7.62 x 66mm .300 WIN MAG (Hornady Interbond);
• 200-grain, 8.6 x 64mm .338 WIN MAG.

Many manufacturer’s claim that their armor is multi-hit; however, many cannot stop a three-round burst from a 9mm MP-5 let alone a burst from an AK-47 using 123-grain 7.62 x 39mm (mild-steel core) rounds. It is against these real world threats that the Tactical Series armor from Line of Fire, Inc. was created to defeat. Although our level III Tactial Series armor is not formally certified to the NIJ 0101.06 STD it has passed initial test in a recognized NIJ qualified testing facility.  In addition to our National Institute of Justice (NIJ) 0101.06 qualified but not formally certified level III armor, our Tactical Series standalone armor has successfully passed the newly developed BOSIK three-barreled gun test. Our Tactical Series standalone armor successfully stopped two 3-round bursts fired into a single plate. The first shot grouping used 123-grain 7.62x39mm (mild steel core) rounds fired in a three-round burst at seven hundred rounds per minute (700 rpm), a shot spacing of 47mm x 7mm x 47mm and an average velocity of 717 meters per second (2,352 ft/sec). The second shot grouping on the same plate used 148 grain NATO M-80 Ball ammunition (7.62 x 51mm) with the same shot spacing and rate of fire but with a higher average velocity—839 meters per second (2,752 ft/sec). There was NO penetration after either test into the single Line of Fire, Inc. Tactical Series hard armor plate. Before each shot test, the plate was dropped from a height of five feet onto a concrete floor and then stomped on by the 170 pound technician.

With respect to the NIJ levels, the Tactical Series standalone armor has qualified against the new NIJ 0101.06 standard for Level III and Level IV (with caveat) but has not yet been formally certified by NIJ.  The caveat for our Level IV qualification relates to the minimum distance in stopping the M2AP round. Independent laboratory documentation proves that one (1) Line of Fire, Inc. Tactical Series standalone armor plate will stop six (6) 165-grain (7.62 x 51mm) M2AP rounds at distance of seven hundred meters (700 m or 2,297 feet) with minimal back-face signature.

The BOSIK test proves the true multi-hit capabilities of the Line of Fire, Inc. Tactical Series hard armor as well as showcasing the extreme durability that differentiates Line of Fire, Inc. from other armor manufacturers. Our Tactical Series standalone armor has been designed from scratch to better protect military personnel and law enforcement officers by reducing the ballistic energy transferred to the wearer. The result is an extremely durable yet comfortable armor that can defeat the real-world threats that you may face every day on the job. Line of Fire, Inc. Tactical Series hard armor gives you the type of performance that you should expect from your armor.

Multi-hit. Non-fragile. Confidence-building.
